Ok then, let's say that same guy records and posts some 'wav' Files of Erskoman in a not so positive moment/mood...

My question is this, who on HOD would take the time to post it? Just wondering....

no human here or anywhere else is perfect, we screw up sometimes and its not fun to make it a basis of your character...

these board's is great for sharin infos/love for the instrument and their players... but sometimes people here are careless, self centered and selfish to even do something nice... [img]mad.gif[/img]

The second part of the argument show VC getting pissed about some bootlegging business....Which is his TOTAL right.....

Now the fact someone recorded this is kind of shitty.......
But it was in the past and I'm sure that those folks got what they deserved.....

Everybody gets pissed off sometimes......

I was thinking that it might have been Sergio Belotti, the dude that runs Vinnie's website and also teaches at Berklee, but then again it could just have been any old Sergio... [img]smile.gif[/img]

Well.... I'd be careful not to be too harsh on Derek on this matter as well... He's one of the coolest guys here on HOD... It shows in his Posts so...

I listened to the clip it was funny and inspiring...I mean like it's been said already..Vinnie's attitude is why he plays the way he plays..It's his personality that gives his drumming the "garlic"......

Well, I don't care to know who recorded them. But who's hosting it and making it public, that's another matter...

In a way, I think Vinnie would be happy about HOD because the music samples are like free advertisements. I bought CDs and videos that Steve and others have recommended if I didn't already have them. HOD gives people a chance to hear a sample and see if they are interested in the CD or video like the Buddy Rich Memorial Concert. Believe me, I have bought many CDs and videos/DVDs of Vinnie due to HOD. I'm sure others had done so as well.

What does Derek have to do with any of this? He just said listen to the clips...big deal. The second wave reminded me A LOT of what I saw at the Potato in January with the dude video taping. Clearly, this is Vinnie's Achilles' heel.
Someone said this a long time ago...if Vinnie just put out a video, he might make some cash and settle all of this once for all.

My take...in a whole new technological age, there is NO WAY any artist can be certain they aren't being recorded in some way. If someone wants to record, they are going to do it. That guy (or guys) were just stupid and got caught.
